TEDxEleusis is an independently organised TEDx event and is responsible for the personal data described in this notice. The organising legal entity, postal address and privacy contact must be added here before the website's public launch.

When you visit the website, Cloudflare, Sanity and PostHog may receive technical and usage information. Depending on the service and configuration, this can include your IP address, requested URL, date and time, referrer, browser and device information, approximate location, page views and interactions with links or other site features.

If you subscribe for event updates, we collect the email address you submit. Mailchimp may also process signup metadata such as the signup source, time, IP address, approximate location, browser language and your subscription status or marketing preferences.

The event website currently has no account, contact, payment or ticket-registration form. We do not intentionally collect other information that you submit through this website at this time.

We use technical request information to make the website available, deliver content, maintain performance, prevent abuse and protect the site. This processing is necessary for the operation and security of the website and is based on our legitimate interests in providing a reliable and secure service.

We use PostHog to understand visits and interactions so that we can evaluate and improve the website. Analytics should be activated only in accordance with the visitor's consent where consent is required by law.

When you request event updates, we use your email address to send ticket-release, event-date and programme announcements. This processing is based on your consent. You may withdraw that consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in an email or contacting us; withdrawal does not affect processing that occurred before it.

Cloudflare hosts and delivers the website and provides network, performance and security services. It may process IP addresses, traffic-routing data, request details and related security information.

Sanity provides our content-management platform and delivers published content and media. Requests for Sanity-hosted content may include technical information such as an IP address, access time, browser details and performance information.

PostHog provides product analytics. When enabled, it records information about visits and interactions with the website and may store a randomly generated visitor identifier in your browser. We do not configure PostHog to intentionally capture information entered into forms.

Mailchimp, provided by The Rocket Science Group LLC and its affiliates, receives and manages newsletter subscriptions and delivers our event-update emails. Mailchimp acts as a service provider processing subscriber information on our behalf under its data-processing terms.

Cloudflare may use strictly necessary cookies or similar technologies for security and delivery when a relevant feature is active. PostHog may use cookies and local storage for analytics, including to distinguish visits and maintain session information. We do not use advertising cookies.

The site must provide any consent choice required for non-essential analytics before public launch. You can also clear cookies and local storage through your browser settings; doing so may cause PostHog to treat a later visit as a new visitor.

We share information only with service providers that need it to operate, secure, deliver or measure the website and our requested communications: Cloudflare, Sanity, PostHog and Mailchimp. They may use subprocessors and process information outside Greece or the European Economic Area. Where required, transfers are protected by an adequacy decision, the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, standard contractual clauses or another lawful safeguard.

We do not sell personal data and do not use visitor information for third-party advertising.

Technical and security logs are retained for the periods configured in Cloudflare and Sanity or otherwise needed to provide, troubleshoot and protect the website. PostHog analytics information is retained according to the retention settings of our PostHog project.

Newsletter subscription information is retained in Mailchimp while you remain subscribed and afterwards only as needed to document or honour your unsubscribe preference, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes or prevent abuse. The configured retention periods must be confirmed and added to this notice before public launch.

The newsletter form is displayed only when our Mailchimp audience is configured. Submitting it requests marketing updates from TEDxEleusis; it does not register you for or purchase a ticket.

Ticket registration is not currently available. Before ticket sales, contact forms or other user-submission features are introduced, this notice will be updated with the relevant provider, information collected, purpose, legal basis and retention period.

Subject to the conditions in applicable law, you may request access to, correction or erasure of your personal data, restriction of processing, data portability, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting earlier processing. You may also lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority.
